- Truffle Hunting Experience
Accompanied by expert truffle hunters and their faithful, trained Lagottos, you'll venture into the Tuscan countryside, amidst vineyards, olive groves, and forest trails, in search of one of Italy's most precious gastronomic treasures. An authentic experience that will introduce you to the history of truffle hunting and the special bond between a truffle hunter and his dog.
- Historic Estate Tour & Wine Tasting
At the end of the hunt, you'll visit Tenuta di Montechiaro, a historic property owned by the Griccioli family since 1760. The tour includes the ancient cellar dating back to 1810 and the historic olive oil mill, concluding with a guided tasting of three of our organic wines . Led by our sommelier, you'll discover pairings of freshly harvested truffles with our wines, the estate's extra virgin olive oil, and a selection of traditional Tuscan specialties.
- Useful Information
In the warmer months, the hunt takes place early, so a stroll through the vineyards before the tasting is recommended. Closed-toe shoes, long pants , and clothing suitable for the woods and vineyards are recommended, as is a light layer to cover your shoulders.
