Join an expert local truffle hunter and specially trained Lagotto dogs as you venture through woodlands in search of one of Italy's most prized culinary treasures. Along the way, discover the secrets of this centuries-old tradition and the remarkable partnership between hunter and dog.
- Historic Estate Tour & Truffle Farmhouse Lunch
Following the hunt, visit Tenuta di Montechiaro, a historic family estate owned by the Griccioli family since 1760. Explore our original 1810 cellar and ancient olive mill before enjoying a seasonal three-course farmhouse lunch prepared by our private Chef & Sommelier, using the truffles collected during your hunt. Each course is paired with three estate-produced organic wines for an authentic farm-to-table experience.

During the warmer months, truffle hunts take place early in the morning to ensure the well-being of the dogs. Before lunch, unwind with a leisurely walk through one of our vineyards overlooking Siena. Please wear closed-toe shoes, long trousers, and comfortable clothing suitable for woods and vineyards, and bring a light layer to cover your shoulders.
- Dietary Needs: Please let us know at the time of booking if you would like truffles included in every course or only selected dishes. Vegetarian menus and food intolerances can be accommodated with at least 48 hours' notice.
