Cancellation Policies
If the arrival is more than 15 minutes late, the reservation will be considered a no-show. In this case, the winery will not be obliged to provide the experience, and no refund will be issued.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled time will also be considered a no-show and are non-refundable. Cancellations made with at least 24 hours’ notice are eligible for a 100% refund. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Fattoria della Talosa is pleased to open the doors of its Historic Cellar to the discovery of the undergrounds of Montepulciano, a pearl of the 16th century and of the Nobile di Montepulciano. The main entrance is from the wine shop in Via Talosa 8 (20 meters from Piazza Grande) which connects via a 15-meter staircase to the undergrounds of Piazza Grande where the Historic Cellar of about 1000 square meters is located. Vaults and tunnels dating back to 1500 give rise to this magnificent location of Etruscan origin (5th century BC).
For those who prefer to just take a walk in the Cantina Storica without our staff, entry is free with subsequent free tasting in the wine shop at Via Talosa 8 of all the company's products.
By reservation only, customers will be guided by qualified personnel in Italian and English for the visit of the Historic Cellar starting from the history of the company, the explanation of our vineyards, the fermentation processes in the winemaking cellar, historical and technical details on the barrel room, visit to the private family collection and finally visit to the cave with an Etruscan Tomb inside.
Once the tour is over, customers will be welcomed for a guided wine tasting in one of the three tasting rooms at our disposal:
- above the wine shop at Via Talosa 8 (max 28 people);
- 2 inside the Historic Cellar (max 60 + 60 people).
For technical and organizational reasons we reserve the right to choose one of the three rooms.
