The Visit+Tasting experience is suitable for all those who wish to get to know the reality of Castello di Ama, one of the main wineries in Italy. Before the tasting moment, guests are accompanied on a guided tour of the estate through the production areas, the aging cellar and the historic cellars of the medieval village of Ama.

Along the entire route, the presence of the genius loci will be constant, materialized and made tangible by the site-specific installations that make up our Contemporary Art Collection.

Our point of view and the wines for tasting change every year: the experience is recommended also to those who have already visited us in the past.

"The ark of vintages" experience is designed for enthusiasts and people who are interested in gaining in-depth knowledge of Castello di Ama. After the guided tour, the tasting begins with our most representative wine, the "Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Castello di Ama San Lorenzo", placed next to the famous "L'Apparita", the first pure merlot in Tuscany. Since both are from the '2014' vintage, it will be possible to explore the intervention of the vintage on the characteristics of the terroir.

The tasting then continues with our two selections of Chianti Classico vineyards: the "Vigneto Bellavista", whose first vintage dates back to 1978 and proposed here in the splendid '2011' vintage, and the "Vigneto La Casuccia" of '2006', one of the best vintages of recent times.

The company is located about 1 hour drive from Florence and about 30mins from Siena. We are in the historic town of Gaiole in Chianti, one of the three locations that historically represent the heart of the Chianti Classico.

The meeting will take place 15 minutes before the start of the visit in the "Arca" building, located at the beginning of the village, immediately after the parking lot among the olive trees.
